It’s summertime in North Carolina, and that means the North Carolina Home Builders Association is gearing up for the annual STARS Awards Gala. This is the night our members gather together in their cocktail dresses and suits to celebrate the best of the home building industry.
There are nearly 50 award categories – from marketing brochure to floor plan, interior merchandising to outdoor living area. In other words, there is at least one category that you can enter!
So, you may be thinking, why would I want to enter the STARS Awards? There are many reasons, but they all revolve around one area and that is marketing! A STARS Awards winner receives not only a trophy, but a unique way to distinguish the company apart from other companies.
Let’s think about what you could do with a winning project. Of course, you can post it on your website along with all your other awards and recognition. You have to post it on your social media accounts … maybe even promote the post so that your exposure increases exponentially. We’ve seen builders make yard signs. And then there are your brochures and other marketing pieces you’ll want to update. Do you do radio advertising? Let your potential customers know you won a STARS Award for Best Remodel or Best Single-Family Home.
And the list goes on…
There are endless ways to use a STARS Award winning project to stand out and brand your company as a winner, particularly since the STARS Awards Program is the only statewide awards program for home builders in NC! NCHBA will also send a press release to your local media, post the list of winners to our website and spread the word through social media channels.
Ok, you’re convinced you have the perfect entry for consideration. Now what? It’s time to write up your entry. The Early Bird Deadline is June 18, 2015. You’ll save $50 per entry if you can get your entries in by this date. Need more time? The Regular Entry Deadline is July 8 and entries are $150/entry.
The has everything you need to get started … pricing info, deadlines, categories, judging criteria and much more.
