Gord Cook is a professional engineer, educator and industry consultant with over 25 years in the energy efficient residential building industry. He has a unique talent for applying his technical expertise in building science, HVAC systems and indoor air quality to current building issues. His strong technical and mechanical background has contributed to the development of innovative HVAC system designs and indoor air quality solutions.
Gord has delivered sessions at conferences such as the NAHB's International Builders Show, Energy Design Conference, JLC Live, West Coast Green, National Green Building Conference and the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA). Combining the dynamics of being an effective trainer with his engineering background, Gord has a unique talent of taking the complex issues of building science and breaking them into easily understood elements with practical real-world application for all audiences in an interactive and hands-on manner. Gord's extensive experience allows him to appreciate the needs of the widest possible range of clients in the building industry- from manufacturers to homeowners, building officials to trade contractors, utilities to educational institutions.
