James Leach

Jim Leach is a lawyer, practicing in the area of construction defect dispute resolution and implied warranty laws, for two decades. He serves as Executive Vice President and Counsel for Insurance Specialty Group (ISG), an Atlanta based insurance underwriter, which provides risk management services to homebuilders, coast to coast. ISG has written over $700 million in premiums for General Liability and Builders Risk, in the last 15 years. ISG uniquely aligns a builder's key contracts with the Home Warranty, to avoid tort claims (thus minimizing lawyers and adverse litigation). Leach is a graduate of Duke University, with 2 Masters Degrees (accounting and finance; and Insurance), and a JD from the Drake University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Iowa. He is an Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, former Air Force pilot, with over 5,000 flight hours; and originally practiced aviation insurance law. He has provided several similar seminars, including many in the Southeast.
